Leading Equitable Data Practices
Building a more equitable world through responsible data practices
In our Leading Equitable Data Practices workshops, you will learn the foundations of data equity and data ethics through an intersectional approach. You'll walk away with practical tools that you can apply to promote equitable, ethical practices in your data work.
If you work with data that is related to people, you have a responsibility to ensure that you're taking an equitable and ethical approach to your data practice. Whether you're a data team leader, a data engineer, a data scientist, a data-informed decision-maker, a database administrator, or just getting started as a data analyst, you play a critical role in fighting for equity in data.
We offer two types of workshops: our public workshops, which are open to all data practitioners; and custom workshops, where we conduct a private workshop for your team or organization. All are small group, hands-on formats that allow you to dig deep and collaborate within your cohort.
• Public workshops
Our public workshops are open to data practitioners working in any sector. We've found that many of the topics and issues in data equity transcend industries, and that discussions are enriched by viewpoints from folks in different sectors and different types of roles. Past participants have come from every industry: tech, finance, education, public sector, entertainment, consulting, nonprofit, freelance, startups, and more. If you want to learn how to promote equity and ethics in your data work, we're ready to meet you where you are.
