Data 4 Good at Data Con LA

We were a community partner the 2020 Data Con LA conference and were instrumental in building out the inaugural Data 4 Good track. A dozen nonprofits presented on their data work and their presence helped to narrow the gap between the tech and social good spaces. We’re hosting companion posts.

Nonprofits who presented included: Changeist, FreeFrom, Global Accessibility Awareness Day, LA Family Housing, Latino Donor Collaborative, Nexleaf Analytics, SmartAirLA, LA Tech4Good and Data 4 Good, Inc. Videos are on YouTube and slides are on Slideshare.

We especially recommend that you watch the Think in Color panel, designed and moderated by Michelle Emelle. The panel discussed multi-generational solutions on how data influences society for people of color and examined strategies on how for profit and nonprofits are addressing these challenges.
